Synopsis
In a luxurious seaside villa, a modest young woman encounters a strange family: an unknown and very wealthy father, his wayward wife, his daughter, an ambitious businesswoman, a rebellious teenager and a troubled maid.
Someone is lying.
Among those suspicions and lies, mystery takes over and evil spreads....
A film about women, a film with multiple relationships, physical or tender, between these women: lovers, sisters, half-sisters and a little girl.... A film that relies on a strong idea of sisterhood where everyone longs for each other without knowing how to love each other.
Jacques Weber is as sly as one could wish for and all the actresses are great: Laure Calamy, dark as we rarely saw her and Dominique Blanc, radiant and extravagant in a role of frenzied excess.
The film was presented in the official Venice selection.
