In a luxurious seaside villa, a modest young woman encounters a strange family: an unknown and very wealthy father, his wayward wife, his daughter, an ambitious businesswoman, a rebellious teenager and a troubled maid.

Jacques Weber is as sly as one could wish for and all the actresses are great: Laure Calamy, dark as we rarely saw her and Dominique Blanc, radiant and extravagant in a role of frenzied excess.
