Osama Chami

Osama Chami began working in film production in London in 2003, where he assisted directors like Gurinder Chadha and actors like Elijah Wood. In 2010, he returned to Madrid and currently works at El Deseo as the personal assistant to Pedro Almodóvar.

His first short film, "Según Mateo," premiered at Outfest in Los Angeles and had a successful international journey, being featured in festivals such as Fringe! Queer Film Festival in London and LesGaiCineMad, where it won the Special Jury Prize. In 2021, he directed his second short film, the unsettling and atmospheric "El joven Diego," which premiered at Frameline and was screened at other festivals including NewFest, Oslo/Fusion, MIX Brasil or Gaze.

In 2023 he was one of the finalists of Mediapro Studio Labs in Spain and he is writing his first TV Series “Las habitaciones de Karim (Karim’s rooms)” which will be produced by The Mediapro Studio.
