Mel is a young working class girl with an androgynous appearance who dreams of a less monotonous life. One night, she picks up two hitch hikers, Jenny and Bianca, who give her the opportunity to reinvent a new identity ; as Miguel, a young Portuguese. But this is without taking into account the love story that will develop between Mel and Jenny, and the minefield of misunderstandings that go with it.
