During a hot and misty summer in the north of Ontario in Canada, Bea, aged 13, found herself in a small town and a little neglected as a result of family tensions. She dreams of having a best friend more than anything. When she meets Kate, she gets more than she could have imagined. A story of courage, of a holiday-romance in a small town in the middle of nowhere, that tells of the secret life of girls : when adulthood hasn't yet arrived, but childhood already seems to have disappeared.
