Father Adam is posted to a small parish in the Polish countryside where he will be dealing with youngsters in difficulty. Appreciated by all, the priest quickly settles in. But the growing interest for a young boy will force him to confront long-repressed desires which, little by little, will take over and mess up his life. Directed by Malgoska Szumoswka, to whom we owe the superb “Elles”, “In the name of…” is a film about self-discovery, whose powerful images dialogue superbly with a religious iconography imprinted with desire and passion.
