Guru, une famille Hijra

I, Lakshmi Ma, want to talk to you about Hijras, because I am one of them ... We are born neither male nor female, we are born somewhere in the middle.' So says the guru that accompanies us as she talks about her community in general, and in particular about the few people who live under his/her wing, Trisha, Priyanka and others, including Silky, the central figure of this film. With the Hijras rather than about the Hijras, this beautiful documentary creates a poem of many voices where the world is a playground in which the third gender is above all a force of resistance in a shared life.
