I, Olga Hepnarová, victim of your bestiality, sentence you to death.' Olga was the last woman to be executed in Czechoslovakia after an incident that marked the spirit of the 70's. This film neither trivializes nor glorifies this act but it allows us to discover a woman subjected to social silence and her rebellion against the stifling norms and straight-jacketing of a society used to banning those who are different. Dark, strange and troubling, like when she goes topless to seduce a lover in a cafe that is anything but gay-friendly. Olga speaks as well as haunts us today, and will do so for a long time.
